In this study we examined the sense of alienation in Jean Paul Sartre’s Nausea under four sub-headings. He decides to define this anxiety,he felt, as nausea and realizes that he does not recognize the status of this nausea.According to him nausea is being revolted at everything and and a state of alienation.Increasing state of nausea,in time, is an alienation from the objects, the society,self-precense,women and finally the world. This is such a state of distress that led our hero to analyze the situation and try to understand the process. This is the general characteristic of that period.Authors made a point of being apparent intellectually in literary language The basic idea of the novel is that the hero of the work Roquentin is in a constant anxiety and demoralization. Taking care of his thoughts to be clear, Jean Paul Sartre used a plain tongue and paid attention to his style to be cognisable. Roquentin lives in a world that is not understood by him and he, bevilderedly, observes how the urban bourgeoisie cant perceive the reflections of the reality. In this work where a phlosophical thought is told and explained, Jean Paul Sartre states his phlosophic views by means of protagonist Roquentin.
